The Veil Was Torn

Matthew 27:50–51; Hebrews 10:19–22

You are invited near.

The torn veil announces that access to God is not reserved for the flawless. Through Jesus, those who once stood far away may draw near with sincere hearts.

Shame tells you to clean yourself before you pray. Grace calls you into God’s presence so that He can cleanse and restore you. Hiding feels safe for a moment, but it keeps the wound in darkness. The Father is not shocked by what you bring Him.

Come honestly. Come trembling if you must. The way has been opened by Christ, not by your emotional confidence.

What have you been afraid to bring into God’s presence?

Father, thank You that Jesus opened the way. I come without disguise. Search me, cleanse me and hold me near. Amen.
