From Striving to Rest
Hebrews 4:9–11; Ephesians 2:8–10
Rest is obedience without earning.
Striving says, ‘If I do enough, God may love me.’ Grace says, ‘Because God loved me in Christ, I can now do the good work He prepared.’ The actions may look similar, but the roots are entirely different.
Holy rest is not laziness. It is the settled refusal to use performance as currency with God. It allows you to repent without collapse, serve without comparison and pause without guilt.
Receive before you produce. Abide before you achieve.
What are you trying to earn from God that Christ already gives?
Prayer
Father, uproot performance from my relationship with You. Teach me to work faithfully from love and to rest without guilt. Amen.
Tetelestai Declaration
I am saved by grace, not performance. I work from love, not for love.
