Preserved From Beginning to End
God is not only present when you begin. He has already gone ahead of you to the end.

Preserved From Beginning to End
Psalm 121:7 to 8 - "The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore." Psalm 121:8 KJV
Psalm 121 begins with a traveller lifting his eyes and ends with the assurance that God will preserve his entire journey.
"The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in."
Your going out speaks of beginnings, decisions, assignments and new seasons. Your coming in speaks of returning, completing and entering rest. God is not only present when you begin. He has already gone ahead of you to the end.
Many people find enough courage to start but secretly worry about what may happen along the way. What if the opportunity fails? What if the resources finish? What if opposition appears? What if I become tired? What if I cannot complete what I have begun?
Psalm 121 answers those fears by showing us the character of God. The One who called you is able to keep you. The One who opened the journey is not planning to abandon you halfway.
"The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul."
We often ask God to preserve what is around us, but He is equally concerned about what is happening within us. What good is it to receive the opportunity and lose your soul? What good is it to win an argument but lose your peace? What good is it to enter a new season while the bitterness of the previous one is still controlling you?
Sometimes the greatest evidence of preservation is not merely that you survived. It is that what happened did not turn you into someone you were never meant to become.
You were hurt, but you did not become cruel. You were disappointed, but you did not abandon God. You experienced delay, but you did not surrender your destiny. You went through the fire, but the fire did not enter you.
God wants to preserve your heart, your faith, your integrity and your ability to love. He wants to bring you through this season without allowing the season to rewrite your identity.
Your journey is not a collection of random events without divine supervision. The Keeper is involved in your going out and your coming in. He is present at the beginning, in the middle and at the end.
You will not merely start. By the grace of God, you will finish well.
One day, you will look back at the road you were once afraid to travel and say, "The Lord kept me. The Lord helped me. The Lord brought me through."
What journey, decision or unfinished matter do I need to place completely in God's hands?
Am I more concerned about receiving the blessing than preserving my soul?
Has pain from a previous season entered my heart and begun to change me?
What must God heal within me before I enter the next chapter?
Can I trust the God who helped me begin to preserve me until the journey is complete?
Prayer
Father, preserve my going out and my coming in. Go before me into every room, conversation, decision and opportunity connected to my destiny. Order my steps. Do not allow me to enter doors that will take me outside Your will, no matter how attractive they appear. Every journey I begin under Your instruction will not end halfway. I receive grace, wisdom and strength to finish well. Preserve my soul as You bless my life. Do not let success make me proud, disappointment make me bitter or delay make me unbelieving. Heal every place within me that has been wounded by rejection, betrayal, waiting and unanswered questions. I refuse to carry the pain of an old season into the doors of a new one. My heart is healed, my spirit is renewed and my hands are ready to receive. Preserve my family, purpose, health, finances, work and ministry. Let nothing precious be lost along the journey. Complete every good work You have begun in me. Let unfinished testimonies receive divine completion. I will not go out in hope and return in shame. I will not begin with celebration and end with regret. The God who sent me will bring me home with evidence. From this time forth and forevermore, my life is preserved. My household is preserved. My faith is preserved. My destiny is preserved. This journey will end in praise. I will look back and say, "Surely, the Lord helped me. Surely, the Lord kept me. Surely, the Lord brought me through." In Jesus' name, Amen.
Final Declaration
I lift my eyes beyond every hill. My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He is my Helper, my Keeper and my Shade. He watches over me by day and by night. My feet will not be moved. My soul will be preserved. My journey will not end in shame. The God who kept me yesterday is keeping me today, and He will preserve me to the end.
